Heather Anderson is the writer and publisher of Gekko State picture books for young readers.

Born in Northern Ireland, UK, her family moved to the small village of Banton in Scotland when she was 4 years old. This is where she grew up and found the inspiration for her stories; through school, friendships and the beautiful Scottish landscape.

Heather now lives and works as a Designer in Singapore, where she has been based for 11 years. Her inspiration to write continues to grow with her experiences in life.

Her first book Nereg the Ugly Frog is currently in print.
